Big drop in stock market
A big decline is being seen in the stock market on Monday. In just half an hour, the Bombay Stock Exchange’s major index Sensex fell by 713.78 points and reached a low of 71,950.69 points. However, at 10 am, the Sensex is trading at the level of 72,000 points with a decline of 690 points. On the other hand, the National Stock Exchange’s major index is trading at 21,873 points with a decline of 182.20 points. While during the trading session, the Nifty had reached a low of 21,828.40 points.
Which stocks are falling?
A big decline is being seen in the stock of Tata Motors on the National Stock Exchange. The stock of Tata Motors is trading with a decline of 8.43 percent. On the other hand, the stock of BPCL is seeing a decline of 2.80 percent. The stock of ONGC is trading with a decline of 2.18 percent. The stock of Hero Motors and Coal India is down by more than 2 percent. The stock of the country’s largest company Reliance Industries is trading with a decline of 1.30 percent. The stock of SBI has fallen by more than one and a half percent.
Investors lost Rs 4.36 lakh crore
Due to the fall in the stock market, investors have suffered huge losses in just half an hour. According to the data, at 9:45 am, the market cap of BSE had come down to Rs 3,92,19,774.29 lakh crore. Whereas after the market closed on Friday, the market cap of BSE was Rs 3,96,56,440.83 lakh crore. This means that investors have suffered a loss of Rs 4.36 lakh crore.
