In a recent discourse, Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, ardently voiced his endorsement for allocating four percent reservation to the Muslim populace. While addressing a campaign gathering in Kurnool, Reddy aimed a barb at Chandrababu Naidu, stating, “While Chandrababu Naidu persistently allies with the BJP, which advocates the annulment of the four percent Muslim reservation, he concurrently indulges in theatrics to court minority votes. Have you observed the chameleon-like behavior of Chandrababu Naidu?”
“Regardless of the circumstances, the four percent reservation for Muslims will persist, as it stands as the unequivocal stance of the YSR Congress Party! My query to Chandrababu Naidu is simple: why does he persist in his allegiance with the NDA, despite the NDA government’s commitment to revoke the four percent reservation?” added Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Expanding on his remarks, he continued, “In the imminent four days, the forthcoming electoral battle will unfold, reminiscent of the legendary Kurukshetra. This election transcends the mere selection of MLAs and MPs; it symbolizes the destiny of existing initiatives and the progress of every domicile. A vote cast in favor of Chandrababu Naidu obstructs all the welfare endeavors that this administration has diligently delivered to every doorstep.”
Andhra Pradesh is slated to cast ballots for all Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies during the upcoming fourth phase on May 13.
